A great place for locals and visitors alike. The animals look happy and healthy and you can tell the staff really love their jobs. The tour was informative and I loved seeing our native animals in a new light. The grounds themselves are beautiful. Well worth the entry fee.

Amazing! Stroked wombats, devils, and wallabies, and learned so much. Total emphasis on rehabilitation of Tasmanian wildlife - nothing like a zoo. Animals are not there for the benefit of humans, humans are there for the benefit of animals.

After initially thinking that the entry fee of $26 was high, we left feeling that this was good value for money. The grounds and enclosures are attractive and well maintained and there was a good range of Tasmanian animals. The highlight for us was the interactive guided tour with a knowledgeable and enthusiastic guide. We were able to finally pat a wombat and even a Tasmanian devil!

This is our second visit here. Last time was 10 years ago and pleased to report it is still a great day out. The facilities have improved and there are more enclosures and more marsupials to view and interact with. Participating in one of the daily interactive tours and feeding schedules (11am, 1pm & 3pm) provides interesting and educational facts as well as the opportunity to pat a wombat or see Tasmanian devils being fed.

Been here twice and always worth the entrance fee I paid for. Happy to hear that they have 20 devils born this year.
